  • Boil some water and use the steam it will soften the glue with out taking it off and you should be able to pull it right off (gently)!
  • Simple: Cut the envelope roughly around the stamp. Put the attached piece of envelope with the stamp in a glass of water with a drop of washing-up liquid and leave for a couple of hours (or overnight). This will remove the stamp from the piece of envelope it was stuck to and dissolve the glue from the stamp surface. Leave the stamp to dry out for a couple of hours on somewhere like a drainer or somewhere where a minimum amount of stamp is touching the stamp surface and then you're done. Be careful though if you're gonna re-use a stamp as all modern stamps have encoded nano-level location biosensors built inside their thin layer and these have been designed to record the identity of anyone who tries to re-use postage stamps and where they live!
  • hot water possibly with an iron over a soaking wet wash cloth pressing down on the stamp. Once loosened, the stamp will stick to the wet wash cloth but can be easily removed once dry.
