Income Support is calculated on the basis of certain predetermined allowances. Often, the amount of disability allowances you get exceed the Income Support amount you would be entitled to, especially if you are not a householder and so do not have any housing costs, and so they cancel each other out.
Your best bet on this would be to try and apply. But, at the same time, contact your local Citizen's Advice Bureau - they have a good overview of all the regulations relating to benefits, and can advise you of what action to take. They will also be able to make sure that you know about all the related disability allowances - eg Mobility Allowance.
Or call your local Income Support Office and see what they say.
If you are over 18, and I assume you are, your parents' income does not affect your entitlement - the only thing that would affect your Income Support entitlement would be any oother income you have coming in (other benefits) and whether you are doing any part time work (I assume you are not, but a portion of part time earnings are taken into account when calculating IS).

You're reading Iam currently living at home and have calimed disability since i had my stroke which took me from wrk but i did not claim income support dating back 5yrs out of full time work can i calim it now but does your parents income have anything do with it?
