  • Stay out of it.
  • I would not. How old is your brother? If you hide what he has stolen, you are guilty as much as he is. Do you know why he did it? I am so sorry. That is a terrible position to be in. But you know what's right and that is what you need to do. Good luck.
  • i did it once for my bf. but i did chew him out hard core for it. i dont know how he got rid of it but he did. and then he did it again and got caught. i would warn your brother about the consequences of his actions and have him give it to good will or something. good luck
  • If your brother is suspected, they are going to search your place too (if the cops have any brains) don't take it. Tell him to drop it off on the side of the road somewhere or just throw it away. Not your problem. His friend didn't "make" him do anything. He just didn't realize how stupid the idea was until after he had completed the action. There are a million ways for him to cover this up without involving you. Look out for #1, its really all you have.
  • You're committing a crime too if you cover it up, you're ''assisting an offender'' and as someone else said, if he's suspected the police may well end up finding out that you helped him and handled stolen goods. Personally if my brother stole something other than a loaf of bread to feed his family, I wouldn't help him. It's the panic, fear and even being charged with a crime that will help act as a deterrent in the future. If he gets away with it, then I think he's more likely to reoffend. Whether or not you turn him over to the police is one thing, but actively helping him is another.
