I'd say "Holy crap! I have a daughter?!" then give her a big hug, then put her in a time out for slapping me, but be sure to say "nice hook kid"

I would spank her like a little baby and put her in time out. Humiliation works much beter than excessive violence, and I don't believe in hitting kids in the face. If your daughter is an adult, beat her`ass.

If she is a young child, I would remind her that hitting is wrong, and give her a time out. If she was an older child, I would tell her hitting makes me very angry, and take away her privileges for awhile. If she was an adult, I would tell her she no longer has house privileges.
