The gift of life is essential before anything else is possible. But love being the second? Well, I'm not so sure. I think rather it would be being useful/helpful to others is better. Sometimes what passes as "love" is really lust..and doesn't last. Unless you use the term "love" to mean love of mankind, romantic love is overrated in my opinion. It is selfish for the most part, whereas being useful/helpful to others is selfless. Just my opinion, of course! :)
