Just a thought, You can try unplugging the dvd player for about 2 or 3 min. then plug it back in. If it still will not work and the disks are clean. You may need to just go out and buy another player, ( one of better quality if you can afford it as the durabrand palyers are a generic player and usually do not last very long) I learned this from buying our kids one for their tv, lasted about 4 or 5 months then pretty much done the same thing as yours has. Was able to get it to work a few times by unplugging it and plugging it back in after a few min. But it finally just plain quit. The store wouldn't take it back because we had owned it for more than 90 days. Bought a Sanyo and have had it for almost 2 years now without any problems. P.S. might see if it is still under warranty. If so take it back and get another one if you haven't owned it over 90 days.

I would just try restarting the unit. Look for a master power switch or a reset button. Carefully examine all buttons including the remote.

I got on on the 20th of Jan. yesterday I played a store bought dvd and today went to rewatch it. It will not do anything. I have played several dvd's in it. it won't even do the 30 sec's. I can hold down the button and watch it and it doesn't even turn 1/2 a turn. barely spins and then says NO disc when you can see the disc in there. I goto the hospital alot w/my yougest daughter w/her heart condition. They have vcr's not dvd players in the rooms. This was going to be our "break" when she was out of PICU on the floor. What can I do to fix it??
