You're reading I recently bought a Durabrand DVD player and suddenly it has stopped playing any DVD's. This happened after we played a burned DVD. Now, the disc will spin and "loading" displays on the TV,after 30-60 sec. it will stop. What should I do to fix this?

ok, Im not sure where I add anythign to my question so I'll put it here, I discovered that the player will play CD's just fine, not DVD's...so it seems that the lens is fine. Could I may have done something wrong when I tried to play a burned DVD?

check the yellow plug on the back of the dvd player to make certain that it is fully plugged in to the dvd player, also check the connections at the vcr or tv to make sure they are fully plugged in, as it sounds as though you may have a vidio cable loose.

I do not think that by playing a burnt dvd that you have caused any problems, I believe that either a cable has come loose for the vidio or maybe the tuner selection has gotten changed by accident.

I am sorry I had to reread your question since it says loading but you never get a vidio picture, I would still unplug the dvd player and let it set a few min. then plug it back in and see if it doesn't cure the problem as the dvd player may have a logic issue and unplugging it will reset the player. it is ovious that the cables are ok or you wouldn't get loading on the tv displayed. Sorry for the confusion just ignore the last two comments.

i know these will play burned dvd's as i've played several in mine and it's been o.k.. I don't see a reset button either anywhere on the player.

They don't have a reset button, I believe that the problem with the burnt disk is that the reigen code wasn't burnt to the disk properly or at all.
