No they dont, the difference is that they are writen in different ways, wich is why some dvd players dont read the dvd+r's, however a computer can read both (considering you have a DVD+R reader/writer) so if you were to make copies of a disc it would read the dvd+r format but write in the dvd-r format,

You're reading What happens if I make a Master in DVD+R then many duplicates in DVD-R. Does the DVD-R duplicates might "inherit" some DVD+R qualities and not be playable in all DVD players?
