  • I have boxes of random pills in my cabinet, but I have thrown most of them out. Sometimes I wonder what they are, but to be honest I don't think that's the situation with most of the people who ask questions about pills. Perhaps these people hang out in hospitals collecting random pills?
  • I don't think I would care unless I found pills in my teenagers room without a pill bottle ;)
  • I think the AB staff posts those "I found a pill" questions. They are always posted by a beginner who joined the day the question was asked. Maybe they are fishing for new people to join the site?
  • Funny, actually. For people who think this is a dumb quiesion ~ get real. Some people actually CARE about what their kids, grandparents, parents, selves are doing to check up on this type of information. Responsibility is the key issue here.
  • I find it very weird too Nona. I have a heart disease and other medical issues and I have a vast array of tablets in my tablet bag. BUT I know which ones are relevant, and if I don't know what they are, I throw them out. Any responsible person would do this, and if found in a childs room or with another person who you were concerned about, and there was cause for concern, the last place I would be asking is on here, I would be straight to the Hospital or the Doctors.
  • I have never just found a pill and asked people over the Internet what it was. However when my sons were teens, I found some pills in my older son's drawer while putting clothes away. I took all 8 of them to Walgreens and asked the Pharmacist what they were. He said they were a form of Steroid to pump him up. I threw them down the toilet, and had a very long talk with my son. Never found anything since.
  • man, i have always been worried about the fore-march of those molavians. finaly, we have hard evidence. we must take action to halt them - before it is too late and we are all doomed.
  • My mum had this annoying habit of taking strips of over-the-counter type pills out of their boxes so I would often not know what they were or what the correct dose was... and amazingly, I did care about those sort of things, since I didn't want to take an overdose of allergy pills when I had a headache...
  • I guess if you find something in your child's room you may want to know what it is, but I've never personally needed to know. Say there 300 million people in the US and one in a hundred need to identify a pill once in their life. That's 3 million pill identification requests over the course of a life from the US. Even though we think there are a lot on this site, you should see the unreal amount of requests on http://www.pharmer.org/.
  • I have never done that, all my meds are in packets. However if I did, I would throw it away as if i didn't know what it was i obviously don't really need it. I certainly would not ask a bunch of strangers on an internet site to tell me what it was based on a loose discription!
  • If you find a randm pill the responsible thing is to throw it down the toilet AFTER finding out where it came from and WHY it was found in your home ESPECIALLY if you have teenagers and a houseful of their friends EVERY weekend. It is called being a CONCERNED PARENT! Apparently whoever wrote this does not have teenagers and has never came across little pills in coat pockets or backpacks. When you do, you will be on here asking what in the world this is for and what kind of damage might this be doing to someone that I LOVE! Thank God for answerbag.
