In your opinion, is having a passion for clothing and fashion materialistic and/or a "bad" thing?

This question reminded me of an old commercial. I was wondering if anyone else remembered it. It went like this.... If you have a passion for fashion, and you have a craving for savings, take the wheel of your automobile, and swing on down to ________. And to answer your question. No it is not a bad thing at all. You can turn that passion into a really nice career as a fashion designer or a boutique owner. Take what you love and turn it into something that will make money for you! You could even be a personal shopper or a clothes closet organizer in your spare time!

It can be materialistic depending on how far you take it - but I dont consider it a bad thing - I wish I could afford to dress how I'd like.
