  • I hope it's the karma thing.
  • I think that "karma" (cause and effect) and "survival of the fittest" both have their roles to play, but neither of them are what life is about fundamentally. The crucial thing to understand about life, in my view, is that it's about *wholeness*, not survival or building up good karma. What is wholeness? Integration -- internal cohesion... getting the parts to work together, creating the new and recycling the old bits that are broken, expressing and honoring the interconnectedness of everything, realizing that who you are is none other than the totality of life doing it's constantly changing amazing dance. It's about realizing that it's already turned out, and then doing your best to make it turn out.
  • In my opinion, #2. Karma isnt as guranteed as survival tactics. If something bad happens to you that you could have prevented but didnt for whatever reason ie. didnt want to make someone else uncomfortable. Karma wont always get you out of that situation. "Watching your back" or making sure you take care of yourself before and outsider, sometimes works. in Life though.... thats a big aspect. Even though Karma is good for helping people. Isnt it survival of teh fittest to help other around you also?
  • Life is about survival of the fittest. LIVING is about karma
  • I wish it was Karma, but it's actually about survival of the fittest, mentally & physically.
  • Neither. Some of the biggest retards are the ones to live the longest
  • Karma doesn't "get you out" of a situation. Karma means that if you are mean to someone or did something wrong, it's gonna come back to you. And it isn't likely to happen with the exact same situation. You may not get a certain job you wanted because you stole from your last job for example, and soforth. But on the other hand, if you treat people good and do good things out of the kindness of your heart, it will DEFINITELY come back to you 10 fold. You will have great things happen to you in different areas of your life. Karma is definitely real.
  • You forgot one : survival of the smartest, since survival of the fittest does not necessarily include intelligence in it's overall assumptions, just look at the dinosaur ,survived for millions and millions of years with pea sized brains ... or there abouts .. of course there is that part about genetic memory which would mean small brain size is not a quantitative measurement of intelligence, in human society and depending on prosperous conditions Karma takes the lead, how ever drop every one into the deprivation survival pot and fittest and / or the most vicious takes the lead ... ~Nemo~
