I believe 'annointed' means chosen or ordained by Heavenly Father (God), just as David was also annointed to be king of his people by God in the Old Testament. Jesus was annointed and chosen by God to be our Saviour and Redeemer.

yes of course Jesus had a choice, sorry i forgot that bit. He had agency, but he was obedient and followed his father's will. but none the less, he was still foreordained for his earthly mission.
