Why are NASCAR engines still running pushrods and carburetors? Are they stuck in the 1970s?

I don't actually know, but maybe their technology is already very fast, and if they improved their technology they would get much more quick, to the point of being too fast to race (like the group B rally cars in the 80's).

this is because it is the cheapest and symplest way,remember that they will rebuild there engines a lot because they race sometimes more than once a week.
