If B or C can beat A's hand, then B or C win both pots. If B and C cannot beat A's hand, then B or C just win the side pot and A takes main pot. Basically A can only win the main pot, B and C are betting on the side pot and the main pot. If B wins the side pot but not the main pot, he just takes the side pot. Hope that was clear as mud lol

A cannot beat C on the side pot as you say because the side pot is being contested between hands B and C. In this situation, the best hand out of A, B and C wins the main pot (so B's 3 of a kind wins), and the better hand between B and C wins the side pot (B's 3 of a kind wins again). A does not contest the side pot.

B takes both pots .. there is no second place, since playerB's pot could cover the other's.

c comes in second durin toournament play since C and A lost to B and C had more chips than A.
