Neither. The water you wash it down with is what helps the symptoms. A hangover is nothing more then dehydration. :)

According to all the articles I have seen, the symptoms associated with a hangover are related to the dehydration that occurs with drinking. I have never seen anything stating that aspirin will help with dehydration. [That's also why they suggest that a person should have a glass of water between each drink.] So, your morning-after aspirin makes a lot more sense to me. But certainly not as much as not over-indulging the night before. lol

Neither. Lots of water and a good B-Complex vitamin is the only thing that's REALLY going to work

I take 2 ibuprofen and two paracetamols with a pint of water before sleep and the same again on waking and never get hung over, it's probably the water that helps with the dehydration but I'm not stopping the tablets just in case they are helping as well :o))

sorry, you're both idiots. just drink water and you'll have no hangovers, since a hangover is just dehydration due to alcohol.
-
Maybe you're both right. I've found that different things work for different people. For me, eggs, sunny side up worked for me.

I think that if you take aspirin and/or ibuprofen prior to going to sleep the antiinflammatory effect of the medication helps reduce or prevent the hangover. I am sure the water helps as well at least I think to drink a big glass of water when I take the aspirin. Maybe if you are waking up with the hangover and your friend is not, you should try your friends way and see if it works for you!

You're both idiots :D - The Aspirin doesn't cure the hangover - nothing but time takes care of that
