I don't know for sure but I don't see why not! I do know that veterinarians prescribe some of the same meds for dogs that are prescribed by doctors for people. We share a lot of the same illnesses and ailments that effect dogs so... why not? Dry skin is dry skin.

Use an organic oil like walnut, almond, or olive oil. Baby oil just coats the surface of the skin and does not soak in because the molecules are too big to penetrate. Natural oils actually soak in and nourish the skin. Aside from that, baby oil is a petroleum product. Do you really want that on your dog, or yourself? I make a vitamin rich supplement food for my dogs and cats that really helps with skin and hair problems and fleas.
