Why can I no longer post comments .... only answers and questions?

I hope you have solved your problem in the meantime... Reboot your computer could be sufficient for this. Or they have some problem on the site. Or you are posting too long comments, I had sometimes problem with this, even if the display says that you have still some characters left, sending a long comment can sometimes fail. A good workaround for this is to post a shorter comment and to edit it to a longer one.
