  • No idea but as a tutor teaching students with dyslexia I use either comic sans or verdana
  • I have no idea, and I have designed for many years, I love the font.
  • I'm not a designer, but I can tell you why; it's a cliché. I would guess that the three most over-used fonts are: 1) Times New Roman 2) Comic Sans MS and then 3) Arial. TNR is used so often because it's MS Word's default font. I'm not sure why Comic Sans is so popular; it's just seen as a fun, bouncy font I suppose. Arial is just the first sans serif font there is, alphabetically. I hate Comic Sans, because I see it as over-used and childlike. I prefer Segoe UI, Verdana, Tahoma or Trebuchet MS. Although that's just for regular documents; anything else could be any other font except for the three I mentioned.
  • Do they? Personally, I love it. Like any font? Think it's important to choose the right font for the job or project at hand. This one is a fun font. I use it a lot.
  • I didn't know they did ... but it's the only font I use. I just think it looks better.
  • I can't speak for all designers, but I personally dislike it because it just looks SO plain and uninspired, as if it was written by a 6-year-old. I prefer more complex-looking fonts, such as "Cambria", "Sylfaen", and "Garamond".
  • Okay, so I decided to use my brain after asking this question cause I realized I haven't tried googling it myself! lol! (See what happens when I use AB too much :( ) What I found was, basically, it was being overused, especially unsuitably for writing on serious subjects. People have been using it too casually like it's a 'general typeface' (like Times) and that it is only appropriate for some instances (like comic book text, children related softwares, and some packaging) For more information, I came across this: http://www.bancomicsans.com/home.html lol, this reminds me of an old science teacher who used this font for EVERY hand-out, test, quiz, exam..
