It will still be an urge they have to control or go to jail.

You could also be born a potential murderer. But society still has to protect itself against you. Even if it were not your fault.

Unless anybody wants to start up eugenics again, pedophiles will just have to control their urges, or hurt others and be punished for it. I think it would be unlikely that there would be a "pedophilia gene" so to speak; rather, it seems more likely that there would be some group of factors that would make certain individuals more likely to be attracted to children. So some people might have these factors, perhaps a genetic component in addition to certain experiences at a young age, but they would still not be sexually attracted to children. If good evidence is one day found that some people are born with factors that could make them likely to become pedophiles, they will still have to be presumed innocent until they are found guilty.
