it would be hard, but i would probably donate half to charities which help third world kids eat and go to school. i think people who say they'd donate all of it are lying. that's just way too generous. i'm looking out for number one here.

the other half i would use to buy myself and my parents nice big houses, maybe put them on the east coast and myself on the west (so visits would be like vacations). i'd put some away to send my kids to college if i had any. i'd buy myself nice things for the rest of my life - designer clothes and purses and luxury cars...oh, i'm drooling. i'd also fund my own movie, which i would cast all my friends in. and we'd write and produce the whole thing. it'd be hilarous.

I'm assuming we have 90 million dollars to spend as a cash option, after taxes.

Since it would be a complete lie to say that for some reason i deserved the lottery money, I'd give my dues to the WELS synod. BTW... a tithe is 10 percent, which is what I plan to give. I will probably round up to ten million, with that last million going to the churches of my immediate area.

With sixty million dollars, I would hire a team of investors to make me a billionaire. I will not touch any of that money while it grows, at all, except possibly to specify certain areas of investment interest. I'd probably point some of my riskier stocks strongly towards the sustainability movement, and Vietnamese production (they are going to take the place of china in terms of cheap labor, in the next ten or so years). Whether or not I will allow myself a 50,000 dollar a year pension or not remains to be seen.

For all intents and purposes, the only money I would allow myself access to would be the twenty million dollars left over. To know how I will use it, consider my personality. Every year between the ages of eight and fifteen, I would spend one weekend collecting cans at the Wheatland Music festival. Three days, absolutely no more than ten hours of sleep, picking up cans. When I was 12, I made the lions share of 1,200 dollars split three ways between myself, my brother, and our friend. I walked over 50 miles that weekend, up and down the hilly campsites, carrying (by hand) upwards of 5 full bags of cans and glass bottles. I know this, because my extended family all attend, and wanted to know how far I walked to do what I did. They bought me a pedometer.
I also love to volunteer. Not money, but whatever else it takes. I have dressed as a woman to raise money for the American Cancer Society, and I've also gone door to door raise over 400 dollars for the same cause, of my own accord. The first spring break I was ever able to leave home was spent building houses in Indiana for flood victims.

I do not waste money. It's just part of my persona. Whenever I get fast food, or go out to eat, I always drink water. I fix my own car, if I know how. I build my own toys. While I currently manage 30 hours a week between a job as a janitor, and as an ad rep for my school's paper jobs, I also have to rent a house and put myself through community college full time. I don't waste money.

If you haven't noticed, I get satisfaction from doing and learning things, not having or owning things. I also want to know and understand everyone, and everything. Just a personality quirk.

This leaves 20 million. Michigan's economy being what it is, and me being the competitive, entrepreneurial spirit that I am, I will open a slew of small businesses. By slew, I mean like two or three. My ultimate goal is to provide for our economy the way that the Big Three used to be able to. Having a degree in business (which I don't have), and the will to achieve (which I do have) don't mean anything if you don't actually know what you are doing. These small companies (set up as corporations that I might avoid the unlimited liability of a sole proprietorship) will be my livelihood, and my job, for several years until I feel confident I can handle a business and the responsibility of decisions that affect more people than myself. The three businesses I have in mind will put me at risk for a maximum of 2 million dollars for the first two years of startup and operation.

A preliminary five million dollars will be spent flipping houses in poor income neighborhoods, and working towards improving the state of worse-off neighborhoods in Bay City and Saginaw, Michigan. I will buy and flip abandoned and rundown houses in the rougher neighborhoods, and sell these fantastic, completely modern houses only slightly above cost, to improve the quality of the neighborhoods they lie in.

I have experience doing all of that myself... but I will use my newfound wealth to fund the first of the three businesses I already planned on starting; insulating, remodeling, and beautifying homes. I will buy the houses, hire my company to fix or rebuild them, and then sell them.

I will also set aside three million dollars in order to work to provide more recreational entertainment to the denizens of both cities, and bring some ART here. I really want to incorporate the natural beauty (think nature) of these cities into that recreation, and into the business side of the cities. There will be Disc Golf courses around and through the woods by the river, at least one FULL skate park, and a maybe even a sculpture garden for each city near the border between the business districts and poorer residential districts.

I will set aside one million dollars to fund sustainability for charities. By this, I mean donating the equipment, tools, and expertise necessary for them to fund themselves.
Example: I would donate the equipment necessary to organize and run several entertainment based fundraisers. We ran a video game tournament for my college's honor's program. If we owned the equipment, we could run such a fundraiser all the time. Ten Thousand dollars in equipment would allow the program to help itself for the next twenty or thirty years.

Basically, all of my donations will be in materials, not in money. This, I hope, would stop a lot of the nickle and dime drainage that only temporarily deals with a problem at hand.

The final nine million will be kept as a liquid nest egg, should I need it, and to help me with my dreams, and donations to my family. I am not going to go out and buy a plane, for example... But I am definitely going to learn to fly, and get a commercial pilot's license. I will definitely get my CDL. Maybe even a CNA. I will learn the big 5 languages, starting with French and Spanish. I will be able to pay up to 5,000 dollars to enter a complete immersion course for every language. By the time I am thirty, I plan on being tri-lingual regardless of winning the lottery. I will also do a lot of traveling, and see the world! Not that Cruise-ship B.S. that people think is traveling. I want to go backpacking across Europe, spend months in China (after I learn mandarin), and months in the other beautiful places of the world. I will spend one month of every year on vacation in a different place.

My immediate family will be given a large chunk of money on a completely one-time basis. My coworkers will all be given the largest non-taxable amount once. Two people will receive one million dollars from me, in the easiest (and lowest taxed) way I can get it to them.

A small amount will go towards skydiving, bungie-jumping, paintball, and kite boarding. . . Aside from that though, I will just be working.

Last, but not least, I will pay all of the outstanding debt for my dearer family. Home and car payments, credit card bills, all of it. ONCE. I will also buy my dad's business if it is ever in danger, or if he wishes to retire. That would still run under half a thousand dollars though.

    So, breakdown?
    10,000,000 - God.
60,000,000 - Stocks and increased wealth strategies for the really cool projects when I'm older.
5,000,000 - flipping houses, uplifting neighborhoods.
3,000,000 - recreational entertainment and art.
    2,000,000 - Businesses.
    1,000,000 - Sustainable charities.
Final 9 million - Hopes and Dreams, outstanding debts, Health insurance, Life-lock, Non-taxable annual gifts to family members. I may start buying woodland acreage and other undeveloped land, and used jetskis, fourwheelers, and snowmobiles, which I would allow people I know to use. It is better to give than to receive after all.
    Any questions?

Pay off all my debts. Order the construction of a house for me. <1,000,000

20,000,000 Put away in an interest baring account where I would live off the interest for the rest of my life.

50,000 to each of my first cousin's once removed for a college fund. (Around 600,000)

    10,000,000 to my parents

$9,000,000 to my church's general fund

$11,000,000 into an endowment for my church.

$15,000,000 to an endowment to rebuild churchs destoryed by fire.

5,000,000 towards having a new building at my alma-mater named after me.

1,000,000 to building a ballroom for the ballroom dance team at my alma-mater.

10,000,000 to my university's endowment fund.

I think thats almost it but I'd play with the rest and keep it around for whatever I felt like doing with it.

Maybe I'd put some away in a scholarship fund.

Oh yeah and I would enroll at Wartburg theological seminary.

being selfish: pay off all my fams medical bills, pay for college, getting a life with my fiancee ready (house, car, kids, etc.) and pay for my therapy and meds for the rest of my days.

Not selfish: probably donate to a childs organization in New york where i used to live (half) the other half to my mother to get back on her feet.

Well, I would go to Oxford and recieve my Bachelors and then go back for my Masters and PhD. Then I would purchase a huge wooden boat and a new car....I would then spend about 2 million dollars to go on a year long trip to various places around the world all the while visiting poverty stricken areas and lending a hand...When we return I would become a Professor at an east coast school while Kayla started her career as well....with Jordan and Megan living close by...probably Boston. Also I would make sure to leave at least 50 million in the bank at all times.

I would buy a small independent island and create my own nation.
I would start with a business plan to develop tourism on the island, I would offer cheap deals to a bunch of my friends and other skilled workers and sustain them whilst the population was increasing, I would probably start a dive resort,

Being that I owned the island I would develop my own stamps and currency and laws

After my population got larger I would turn tyrannical, I would have 10 wives in 10 house, each wife would have 10 cats. Sphinxes so there is less fur.
I'd pay midgets to work in my shops and dress as umpar lumpas, After Attracting a lot of nutters with fulse promises I take all their money and end up with more than 90,000,000 that I started with.
I'd then fund an expedition into the amazon to search for a lost city, If i didn't find it then I'd build my own pyramid on my island and have it prepared for my burial, I would carve many different symbols and messages and import old stone from half way across the world to confuse future archeologists.

Then I'd wake up and realise I still have lots of student debts and I have to go to work tomorrow and I haven't won the lottery yet.....

First, I would pay off my debts.
Then, I would buy/build a house on some land for my boyfriend and I to live in and build a separate house for rescued cats to live in. (It would be an awesome house with cat trees and lots of windows and cat doors leading to a fenced in yard to play in!) I would give a lot of money to the ASPCA, like 20 million or something. I would go to Africa and build apartments and schools and sponsor women who are single and give them animals and teach them a trade, or have someone else teach them, I am not sure I would know enough.
I would set up a college fund for my nephew and pay for my boyfriend to finish his degree.
I would donate to a homeless shelter in my area and do something to help immigrants who come into the country. Also, I would like to help with abused children.
I would like to adopt a child one day also, so depending on what age I am when I won, I could do it then.
I would like to buy the biggest telescope that I could fit in my backyard.
I would also donate to local, smaller animal shelters around here.
Hopefully, I would have enough money left to take my boyfriend out for a nice dinner. :)

Invest into stocks. And probably take a long vacation to a beach for a month lol, but in reality I if I had that cash I would start my own organization for the homeless and give back to the people poorer then myself. God works in mysterious ways and well he just doesnt drop you 90 million for nothing, theres got to be a reason for it.

yes it is free money, but my own family needs more help than strangers i dont know nor care about - so first and foremost give as much as i can to each and every family member so that they can not just survive but live on it if necessary - then put 75% of the rest in a CD or maximum interest account that pays out monthly for the rest of my life - and finally maybe go on a trip to Europe, or anywhere else i want to for just a few weeks (more than that and even a trip becomes boring) then come back home and then find a nice cottage home that i can live in and enjoy life learning languages maybe laerning the piano or the guitar or even painting and relax and never work for money ever again - forget about it

Lets see 95 million dollars after taxes. The very first thing I'd do is keep my mouth shut. I wouldn't tell a single person I won that much money. I'd retain a lawyer to set up a blind trust for a set fee, that way, the lottery could only publish the lawyers name not mine, and the lawyer would be bound by the lawyer client privacy act. After all the hoop la died down from someone winning that much money, I'd fire the lawyer so that he/she no longer had control of the the blind trust, then I'd use my legally changed name to self direct the trusts assets.

I would have no bills, I would buy a primary residence somewhere in the 2.5 million dollar range. I'd buy a home in Hawaii as my second home, probably 2.5 million dollar range.
I'd also retain the apartment I live in now so that greedy friends and relatives would never know that my life had such an enhanced financial change. I would invest at least 10 million in gold and and stocks. 5 million dollars would be placed in a high interest savings account targeted strictly for health care and anytime I need services I'd negotiate my own reimbursement with the provider.

As for friends and family, I'd set aside 2 million in a special account where I could access quick cash and just tell them all I had a good day at the track without telling them much more than that. Then I'd help them with their immediate needs and then some.

With the rest of the money, I would just live off the interest income and never touch another part of the principle. If I could get at least 5% guaranteed interest income on the balance of the principle of 70 million dollars per year, I could live pretty good on 3.5 million per year for the rest of my life.

Pay off my bills, and my familys' bills, buy a house, pre-pay 50 years of property taxes. Invest, but only a portion, in case it is a bad investment. I would give to a charity, so I would not have to pay for the taxes on this money, and help someone who needs it. I would buy a car for everyone in my family. New computers for my family, pre-pay internet service.

I'd talk to financial advisors on how to invest it. Buy a small home, furnish it comfortably, buy reliable cars for myself and husband, and get a cook. And, just explore the area we live in, eat out when we wish, go see movies, take my husband and kids on vacations, etc.... I'd just live a normal life, not spoil my kids. Set up college funds for them and help relatives in need by giving them 1,000 per month for the rest of their lives (I have a lot of low-income relatives). I'd donate to charities, cancer research, and children's hospitals, and everyday be thankful to god for blessings such as family, good health, safety, and being financially comfortable.

I would have a freakin' blast with it....first thing I would do is buy a big house in Newport Harbor with a big built on boat dock where I would park my big fishing boat that I just named after my son and as far as charity goes I would consider ramdomly picking up some father and son who could not afford to go fishing out on a boat and take them on a fishing trip they would never forget! Then I might consider helping out my family members and shortly after that I would think about opening up a five story booby bar where all my male pig friends can hang out! Then I would probably party til my liver or heart gave out!
