  • I am Native American. I am from St. Louis, Missouri All the Native Americans I know are very friendly.
  • My girlfriend is like... 1/10th native american and shes the only one I know.. .. ..kinda
  • My barber of over 30 years is a full-blooded Sioux from South Dakota. He has done very well (how many barbers do you know that wear Rolexes and own banks?) and I consider him a friend. We don't socialize as he is about 10 years older than I and plays golf, which I don't any more. But we're honest with eachother and I think we both feel part of the other's life. There was another Sioux in the shop but he died two years ago-Ross Perot used his jet to transport the man to specialty hospitals and paid his bills.
  • I used to work at a native American casino here in Minnesota. I even dated a girl. They are very nice, but very loyal to other natives (their term, not mine). Some on the casino where I worked received large checks from the profits of the casino. They were called community members, the owners of the property. They were ridiculously wealthy, having $100,000s of dollars when they turned sixteen. This is, in no way, the norm. Just my experience. My opinion of their friendship towards me? Strictly a work friendship, some still looked at white people as the enemy, some still held a grudge. Again, just my personal experience.
  • Hi Moto. It's really nice to see you posting again :) My husband, Ash, is Native American. His parents are Navajo and Cherokee, respectively. Ash grew up on a reservation in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. He was born on the reservation and lived there until he was 18, when he won an Academic scholarship to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. As his spouse, I was given full access to his home reservation when we visited earlier this year. It was an incredible experience. The Navajo people are such gentle, intelligent, humourous and generous people. They welcomed me into their homes and onto their land as if I had always belonged there. Their ways and customs are fascinating, as is seeing how they have adapted their traditional practices to suit 20th century needs and living. Their craftsmanship and affinty with animals is awe inspiring. I don't think I have ever felt more connected to the human race than I did when I was amongst them. Ash comes from a very large family - he has 10 siblings and hundreds of cousins, Aunts, Uncles, etc. I would love for some of them to visit here and to experience our own unique country. They are wonderful people :)
  • unfortunately, i do not know any native americans! and i think its sad. i think what happened to the native americans was TERRIBLE!!!!
  • I am half Apache (my father was adopted at birth so we don't know where his parents originated from) and I'm a pretty friendly person:) I know others who have a little Indian in them and they don't treat me any different then I treat them.
  • I do, she taught me a class on medicinal herbs because she was a medicine woman. She also gave my girls an Indian name. I think she was from the New York area. She is the most kind and spiritual person I know. I also have a internet friend that is Indian and is from Wyoming, another kind and compassionate person and artistic. I would love to get to know both of them better.
  • Hi, I am native American Cherokee and German but I treat everyone as equals based on race. It's some personalities that give me cause to be biased.
  • I personally know Hopis, Navajos and Apaches. I, (we), live in Arizona in the US. No offense taken! :)
  • My wife is 1/8 Choctaw and one of our close friends and WoW buddies is a full-blooded Cherokee. He is from California and my wife is native of Hawaii. I have always been fascinated with Native American and Pacific Islander culture and people. I know that my friend would give me the shirt off his back if I asked him, and I would do the same for him.
