  • The only thing Palin needed to do was not come across as an imbecile and the only thing that Biden needed to do was not to come across as an asshole. And I think both of them did okay, considering, they have had some good moments and some bad moments but so far they seem to have balanced each other out.
  • I would say Biden won,he had his facts straight ,appeared more credible and truthful.Palin showed her inexperience and did not have the ability to think on her feet, but just following her notes. This is not Alaska any more, but the big league.Even if she was herself,it did not help her cause. He has 20 years experience and she 5 weeks and it showed.
  • I thnk biden won I only listened to like the first 15 minutes though. But besides that they both stink on ice.
  • Palin Won a little nervious at the end Biden was an empty suit just like Obama Obama picked someone just like him self.
  • i watched very litte of it but what i seen they both looked pretty good.
  • I watched only the first 30 minutes. It seemed Biden won. I didn't hear Palin answering much questions or state any facts.
  • I watched the entire debate. Even though Palin did better than I, or most people, expected her to do last night, I still think Biden was the winner last night. There was just too much folksy, "golly gosh darn" attitude and talking around the issues without being more specific. It didn't really help that she actually said that she probably wasn't going to answer the way everyone wanted her to...and she was right about that!
  • I watched the whole thing, but I did turn it into a drinking game. "Maverick" was a drinking word, so I really wasn't paying attention to the words coming out of their mouths in the last half hour. Palin managed to not look like a complete ditz like she did in the Katie Couric interview, which is good. She looked confident, polite, proper, and she spoke with power (most of the time). The bar was set very low, and she was definitely better that what I anticipated. Still, from a pure debate standpoint she really didn't do very well. If she was faced with a question she didn't know how to respond to - which was more often than I'd like to have seen - she'd not answer it and go on about something else. She seemingly made up some facts that Biden called her out on, and she had no response. I found it amusing that she insisted Al Qaeda was in Iraq and that the Iraq war "was a blunder." Direct quote, in context. I'm sure McCain is going to have some words with her about that. In context of a debate, Biden won hands down. In terms of political science, you can't say Plain lost. The people who love her blindly still love her blindly, and she didn't cause damage to her party. At least, nobody seems to remember it. She rallied the base very well with rhetoric, which is more than what McCain could have hoped for. The pundits after the interview were too busy mocking Joe Biden, who almost cried when talking about how his wife and one-year old daughter died on Christmas, than the real issues.
  • Biden without hesitation!
  • Definately BIDEN...without a doubt! Although Palin did better than I and probably a lot of viewers thought she would!
  • "Vice Presidential Debate Wrap-Up" -
  • Biden, definately
  • Biden. He may have kept dipping into the 'past' as Palin put it, but she fails to realize that those who don't remember history are doomed to repeat it, doggone it.
