    i think dream theater and radio head are probably the closest thing to pink floyd out there right now. if you like ambient music, i have a link to some experimental music that my friends put out: http://www.kitwatkins.com/TGE/ ive recorded with brad. hes a phenomenal musician (funk/fusion jazz/rock/world), as is kit. kit watkins used to be with happy the man, if you know of them... a really great prog rock band, in the vein of genesis. (little known fact: peter gabriel had asked happy the man to be his band after he left genesis, but they turned him down because they were squabbling at the time...). if you like prog rock, id recommend happy the man or pfm or gentle giant as a departure from the humdrum music of today...
