Not all of them do. I love to flirt with girls when I'm single, but I do so much less often when I'm in a relationship. Besides, if it really is just flirting, it's relatively harmless. I think guys do it just to prove to themselves that they are still desirable and attractive to women. It may sound silly, but I think that's important to people, both male and female. Maybe it's insecurity, or maybe just human nature.
