I don't see why this question was downrated. I think it is a perfectly good question, as well as a good use of the vernacular. No, it does not mean that. It means that you recognize how pointless it is to try to keep up with the latest lies, misleading information, and false promises on a day to day basis. When it comes to making a decision on who to vote for, you will use the time honored method of asking someone you trust, or following your own good judgment. That is good enough.
