I could see how that could help others I guess but I would not need such an option as once I rate it then I am done with the rating for that question or answer.

No, I wouldn't use it, as I usually give points to someone. In the rare case of a factual answer being wrong, I might give a small negative to make it not the top answer, but I don't see why I would ever want to reset something back to zero.

I've only wanted to reset points one time... And I simply chose to use +1 instead of +6. ;-) I note that you state for "offensive answers". If they are "offensive", simply flag them. If they aren't THAT offensive, give either +1 or -1.

If you award no points you are already giving it zero. What am I missing here?
