  • Of course the electrical current will follow the path of least resistance. However, the definition of current flow, and hence the direction of current flow, depends on whether you are a physicist or an engineer. Engineers say that the holes are moving from the ground to the source. Physicists say that the electrons are moving, from the source to the ground. The net effect is the same, but the disagreement continues. (holes are the spaces that come into being when the electron has moved and is no longer there.) In my mind, the physicists are right.
