Teens need to have that privacy, and the only reason that teens think that they need a lock is because they know that if they dont then someone will invade that privacy. When you were a kid (living at home) did you get spanked or otherwise physically "punished" (including beaten) when your parents thought you did wrong? Do you think those spankings/beatings/punishments really made you a better adult? I am a teenager and I was "spanked" with a wooden spoon, a ruler, a stick and other things that were there. I think it was/is a wrong way to disipline children and I dont think it helps them as people.
