Instructions

Color

  • Step 1:
The key thing to remember with fetish makeup is that you're not attempting to achieve a natural look. As a result, don't be afraid to experiment with unusual colors, especially if they compliment your outfit. For instance, if you're wearing a yellow latex top, don't feel shy about putting yellow blush on your cheeks or yellow eye shadow on your lids. Keep in mind that your color scheme is, even if unnatural, should compliment your outfit and look.

Features

  • Step 1:
Fetish makeup is similar to regular makeup in that it's meant to emphasize features. If a woman wants to call attention to her lips with normal makeup, she may wear lipstick or lip liner in a subtle red. Fetish makeup should take this concept to the extreme. If you want to emphasize your lips, use bright red or black lipstick. If you want your eyes to stand out, put dark liner and shadow around them to bring out the whites. It can't be emphasized often enough: Fetish makeup should be much more exotic looking that day-to-day makeup. The person wearing fetish makeup isn't trying to look natural.

Evaluation

  • Step 1:
Before fetish makeup styles are attempted, you should evaluate yourself in the mirror. If you have a pale complexion, then enhance it by adding some additional light compound to give yourself a stark white to paint over. If, however, you have a darker tan, don't attempt to make yourself pale. Instead, choose colors and bases that stand out from your skin. Neon colors always work well for those who have darker complexions. The key with a dramatic fetish style of makeup is shock value. If your look isn't arresting, try taking it up another notch.
