You lot are far too confusing!

    1/10 = fraction

    Fraction: 1/10
    Decimal: 0.10 (1 divided by 10)
    Percentage: 10% (0.10 x 100)

    1:10 = ratio

    Fraction: 1/11 (1/(1 + 10))
    Decimal: 0.09 (1 divided by 11)
    Percentage 9% (0.09 x 100)

    Conclusion - 1/10 and 1:10 are different!
