If you were in charge of NPR, would you have fired Juan Williams for his comments about Muslims? Why or why not?

    Not just no, HELL NO! Where is the NAACP on this one? Where are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? Do they only stand up for black men when the black men agree with them? What kind of coward does not stand up for this man?

    Juan Williams has the right to free speech, just like every other American. Anyone who actually bothers to watch Fox News knows he is there to state the other side, and he does. He is way too liberal for my tastes, but the man has the right to his opinion. I may disagree with what he says, but I will defend to the death his right to say it. No decent American should say less.

    It is high time we stop playing the game of political correctness, while it whittles away our rights. It is nothing but censorship. If George Soros doesn't like what Juan Williams has to say, maybe he'd be happier in Hungary. If NPR doesn't have the stones to say "no thank you" to his money, and stand by their journalist, maybe they'd be happier there too.

    At the very least, I'd say its high time for NPR and PBS to have to start finding their own advertisers and making their own money instead of suckling the government teat. No other network gets government money. Maybe George Soros would like to pick up the whole tab for the network. I'm tired of supporting them. Cutting them off might be a good step in the right direction of balancing the budget and paying down our debt, before we are stuck with Pravda for good.
