I have a 2.5" portable hard drive, and I want to transfer it to a different case. How do I do this?

I don't think it is. I was posting on a forum, and another guy said he did it easily, and he didn't damage the original case at all. I think it is just attached by the pins (IDE maybe?). What does IDE look like and how do I disconnect them?
