The Ethiopians have an ancient religious document that states that King Solomon had a child with the Queen of Sheba. That child would be the grandson of King David. All the Ethiopian Emperors have been descendants of that child, which is to say that they are descendants of King David as well, if one believes the ancient Ethiopian document. The Old Testament does not mention any such child, but uses ambiguous wording that some people interpret to mean that King Solomon slept with the Queen of Sheba. The last Ethiopian emperor was deposed in 1974. His descendants now live in exile. Rastafarians also believe that the Ethiopian emperor was a descendant of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. One can believe this or not, but it is the closest one will come to a possible confirmation that someone alive today is a descendant of King David.
