1 litre of water weighs 1 kilogram, thus since there are 3.79 lites in a gallon, a gallon weighs 3.79 kg, which is 8.36 pounds.

    • Thanks, Tani. I had to haul around a few five gallon containers of water last night and wondered how heavy each was.

    • Ouch! That is a lot to lug around. I heard from Pattijo yesterday, and she is just taking a break from AB (burn out & negative people were her words), so I was glad to hear from her.
