Help answer this question below.

Why is it some parents forget their child in the car on a hot day resulting in the child's death. How does a parent just forget their kid?

I'm not going to say I've never forgotten something important, because we all have. But even though I don't have children I know they are important so how can a parent just forget their kid sleeping in the back seat?

As a parent it does baffle me.
I did have one ex friend that came to my apartment and left both her kids (6mo and 2years) in the car. She talked to me for over a half hour before she mentioned they were there. usually she would just dump her kids on her mom when she came over. It was over 100 degrees out (we lived in a desert town). I screamed at her and got the kids out of the car. Thankfully they were fine. I never could understand how she felt about her children. They were just there to her, more of a problem to her.
I guess some parents lack empathy for their kids, for some reason the loving bond never develops and grows.
I still can't understand it, but it might be a reason why it happens. :(
