If my neighbor's dog attacks me, do I have every right to do what I want to it for self defense?

    It depends if where did your neighbor's dog attacked you. If you were trespassing into their property, then the owner has the right to defend its property, hence if the dog attacks you, the owner will not be liable for damages.

    Now, if the dog attacked you in your own property or to the property not within the owner's, then you will have the right to claim for damages against the owner, that is if you did not provoke the attacking.
