Jesus is God in the flesh, his body died, not Jesus. If Jesus had died, he would have been a mortal man and his salvation would have been none existent.

Then how does our death differ from Jesus' death? Doesn't our spirit live forever as well?
by Rockie on April 22nd, 2010
yes exactly... thats the whole point chico.... that your spirit will live. the whole thing about Jesus being God, is a misnomer. Proof is in the Bible, he was called the " son of man". On the cross, Jesus looked to the heavens, and said "why (God) have you forsaken me." So he was speaking up to someone. the whole thing about Jesus, is that he opened the gates for all people getting into Heaven and being absolved of original sin. In other words, people believed you were already born a sinner (because of Adam and Eve). Jesus, took that away and allowed people to start life sinless. But you need to read the Bible and take what you can away from it. It is meant for you to interpret, not someone interpret it for you.

What do you mean when you say, "The Bible is meant for you to interpret, nor someone interpret it for you."? How do you know if you are interpreting the Bible correctly if there is nobody to tell you that your interpretation is correct or not?

thats the point Rockie...
READ the bible for yourself, it is not meant for someone to spoon feed you.... READ it and understand it for yourself.
