PocketNut is as sure as a peanut

Those christians who do regard Wicca as demonic also regard every other religion on the planet as demonic, they need to denigrate the competition in order to strengthen their own weak faith.
The reason Pagan symbols (Wiccans are not the whole of Pagandom) have become associated with the christian antithesis is because many people would not remain christian if they did not see evidence of a threat, and where better to look than a religion that existed well before their brainwashing cult was a glit in the eye of a deranged bronze age mystic?
Pagan symbols are everywhere, even in some churches, indeed the churches themselves are sometimes built on ancient sacred sites, not to mention the fact that many of the festivals celebrated therein are far older than christianity.
