I just watched it on DVD.

My favorite part in the movie is how the Americans get the Chinese to build a ship to support their survival. I guess the Chinese were planning to use the money for nation wide swimming lessons.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but pretty much only white and black people were allowed on the boat. The Indians were all wiped out by the tsunami. I don't remember seeing anyone of latin decent. A couple of Arabs got on the boat (I guess they supplied the oil to power the ship). A couple of Tibetians manage to stole away on the boat like rats. And lastly, they let the Japanese president on the boat. I think Hollywood has done an accurate job, as always, of illustrating what to expect in a major disaster situation. Go Hollywood!
