Do you prefer sharps or flats and why?

    I like sharps better. The word "sharp" sounds so much better than "flat", doesn't it? You know. "B sharp, always b natural, NEVER b flat". Actually, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I learned all of the scales with sharps before I learned the ones with flats. Instead of thinking of a note as d flat, I much prefer to think of it as c sharp.

    • Fair do's, thanks treblemaker (loving that name!) but what about somthing like Bb, would you chose to refer to it as A#? that just sounds so unnatural to me :)
