Question

Help answer this question below.

Why do people call "evolution" that which has been intelligently designed? You've heard of the "evolution" of the computer or automobile. There's a new video game called "Spores: Evolution" in which everything is intelligently designed. Why the confusion?

"evolve" and "evolution" are words to describe change over time. Cars change over time - via direct input from people, designing and building different ones all the time.
The evolution of life is different in that life reproduces itself. Cars do not reproduce. They need to be built. Life reproduces imperfectly, all the time.
"Evolution" is a term that can be used to describe both processes.
