Why is it that when a guy's been hurt in the past he is so closed off to even the possibility of loving again? How do you prove yourself to be worth the risk with someone who's broken and afraid to commit now?

    i wouldn't bother.
To be honest, you're just in for a great deal of pain. wait until he's ready and comes to you.

    • We have a FWB relationship right now, but we connect on so many levels it's scary! The sex is great, the communication/conversation is great, we laugh and have a good time together. He acknowledges that he needs to learn to open up again and take that risk, but he just doesn't wanna get hurt again. I totally understand that, I've been burned too, but life goes on! He says he wants to love again...

    • oh see that's your problem you've already settled for SEX without anything else. BIG mistake. But I think in 3-6 months you'll figure this all out on your own.
