Help answer this question below.

A friend of mine told me that the vein that "sticks" out of my bicep going down both my arms is unhealthy. Is this normal, and could this be that I'm performing an exercise incorrectly?

    no it is actually a sign that you are doing the exercise correct because when the vein sticks out, blood is being pumped harder to the heart to recieve more oxygen. your friend either doesnt exercise hard enough or he has deeper veins and is probably a bigger person.
