Do you think that having a new disease crop up that it took monies away from finding a cure for pre-existing disease research? Maybe, but to have found a cure for any of the above just because AIDS was invented? NO!! (Yes, the AIDS virus was a man made disease.. germ warfare)
Millions if not Billions have been spent on finding a cure for MD. But still no cure.
There will always be a disease that makes people die, or crippled. We are human... human means mortal. Before cancer, we had heart disease that was the big killer... still not cured. What will be the next one, if we find a cure for cancer and AIDS?
If we were machines, then maybe we could live half of forever, but flesh and blood is terminal.

    • AIDS Virus is now thought to have been around for120 years and to have been kept alive only through the urbanization of the African coast by Europeans.
Yo, dumbass, it comes from Green Monkeys and cuts in the skin of people who skinned them and ate them. It has been in chimp populations for almost 100,000 years.
