At what age is a dog considered to be an adult?

    Generally speaking, they are considered "adult" when they turn 2 years old. This is the definition used by vets and companies that make dog food.

    I wish I had a great, funny answer as to why this age was chosen, but I don't. I imagine this was just something that was "settled on" years ago.
