    spock's brain

Subaru Legacy Outback. (forget the year)
    .
Calling this thing Outback must have been a joke. It wouldn't go 100 meters in the outback!
    .
It was clearly meant for driving only on asphalt, and good asphalt at that! Lots of plastic parts, including in the suspension, that just don't hold up to anything more.
    .
Many parts can't be easily replaced. The whole drive shaft, rather than just the flex joint, must be replaced!
    .
Steering is loose, like American cars, but this is a preference issue.
    .
Salon design was also not ergonomic. The ash tray was difficult to use when dribving as it is hidden behind the transmission selector. My model showed the Japanese fascination for business cards by having a built in b. card dispenser, but no cup holder.
    .
On the plus side, it did plow through loose snow very well, worse on hard pack, and had great acceleration!
