When I get the munchies, I brew up a cup of green tea. It takes away the hunger and makes me feel relaxed (which is good if you tend to eat when you are upset or angry). As other people have pointed out, brushing one's teeth also helps. Once you've got that minty taste in your mouth, any food you consume will taste awful, so you won't want to eat.
But if you have tried everything in the book to distract yourself and you're still hungry after 20 minutes, go ahead and eat, because that's probably legitimate hunger. Just make sure to eat a light snack, like sugar-free cereal, butter-free popcorn, or fruit. One of my favorite snacks is apple slices dipped in peanut butter. It will satisfy your sweet tooth like a candy bar, and the protein in the peanut butter will fill you up.

You're reading I dont believe in the miracle diet pill but does anyone know of anything that will curb hunger/wants? Anything that REALLY works. I find myself always wanting to eat, I would love it if I could find something to help me stop that.
