Help answer this question below.

I am pregnant and seperated from the father. He has stated he wants nothing to do with the child so he does not have to pay, but his mother keeps threatning to take the baby away from me. what are my rights? i live in CA.

    The Mother IS blowing smoke up your butt ! She can't go and just take your baby away !! What a croc . I would do as others have suggested . Keep a journal with times and dates that she has called and threatened you . If you have a cell ph. she calls you on . You can easily show those times and dates from your phone will and connect it with your journal . As long as you can provide a roof and warm bed and food for your baby then no one can take him or her away ! That's it period . I would go and apply for state assistance if you can't afford to pay medical costs . They will direct you on how to apply for c/s . The state should (at least Texas does) pay for a paternity test to prove just indeed that he is the father . I would file ASA the baby is born for c/s . If he doesn't want anything to do with your baby . Then so be it .....his loss , he will regret it later . i'm not sure on your states laws . If the father signs over his rights or not , if you could still get c/s . Check it out . Believe me with his Mom telling yoiu she is going to take away your baby . This could get really ugly !!! Get a good attorney ready and willing to help you . Always be onestep ahead of anyone that is trying to harm you in any way ! If the Mom all the sudden wants to be nice to you . Be on guard . SHe could be trying to full you .
