    YES we should end it!

    As a soldier who has been twice it is over. I know what the media shows you, but you as civilians are not privy to the other side...... Our supiors tell us what to say when we are interviewed over there we are threatened(at least in my unit) to show support for the war and for Bush when in fact us enlisted just want to get home to our families when instead all we hear is if they end the war then we would be " surrendering" i am sorry but that still doesnt make sense to me. In my opinion there has to be a force on force war for me to surrender to not these cowardly IED emplacing guerrillas. When i walked the streets in Iraq during the first war the people liked us and would try to invite us in and then i actually felt i was doing good this was in 03. My last deployment in 05-06 they hated us and either hid or threw rocks. They are sick of us and dont want us there. But all you hear about are idiots like McCain with Apache helicopter support and 24 armored humvee convoy going on patrol for protection talking about how much safer it is. Where our average patrol (when we didnt have a stupid high profile VIP with us ) was just 3-4 Humvees. It is not safe, It is in civil war, they(insurgents) are getting ballzier and braver. I say bring our troops home to protect OUR borders and send the illegal immigrants to Iraq and once they serve a 15 month deployment in Iraq...... then they earn a green card. THERE!!! 2 birds 1 stone. Sorry if i have offended anyone thanks for listening!

    • I am NOT a civilian!!! I have also been to Iraq, if only for six months. I was there during Opration Induring Freedom, and my father was there during Operation Desert Storm, and he will return in June. Is it really that bad there now? People likes us before.

    • Yes it is that bad there now. I was surprised as well when i went back the 2nd time as well.
