Why is it when you are young a year lasts a long time, but when you are 50 the years seem to fly by so fast?

    I would guess because when you a kid you have not been through many years so if a year goes by fast you don't have any to campare it to.
    Also, once you are older it almost seems you are too busy to pay attention to time, time goes by faster when your busy.
