Why is it when you are young a year lasts a long time, but when you are 50 the years seem to fly by so fast?

    too Easy! =)
    Because 1 year at 10 years old is one-tenth (1/10) of your entire life. So it feels like it goes by so slowly.

    Whereas at 50 years old, 1 year is 1/50th of your whole life. At that point you've had so many of those years that they dont seem like anything anymore.
